Heathfield Bonfire Night! Saturday 26th October 2019 – Event Details

  • 6pm – 10pm: Road closures will be in place. (See below leaflet for details).
  • 7.15pm: Start of procession. This will start at Mill Road and be going through the main town and various residential streets (see below procession route map).
  • The procession will eventually end up at the firesite at the Community Centre on Sheepsetting Lane.
  • 9.30pm: Approximate start time of fireworks display. (Duration approx. 10 mins.)

The attached leaflet will be distributed to all local residents living on the procession route. We have had a delay with the printing of these leaflets but rest assured they will be distributed very shortly.

Heathfield Martyrs Commemoration – Saturday 22nd June 5.30pm

Saturday 22nd June 2019 @ 5:30pm
The Martyrs Memorial, The Heathfield Independent Chapel, Chapel Cross, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 9DB.

We are holding our commemorative event for the two Martyrs of Heathfield, Margery and James Morris, who died at the stake with eight fellow Martyrs of Sussex 462 years ago on 22nd June 1557.

Bonfire Societies attending please be in costume and members of the public are also welcome.
We walk from the Half Moon Inn, TN21 9BS, leaving at 5:15pm

Please come along and show your respects to our Martyrs – this is what Sussex’s Bonfire tradition is all about.
