Quiz in the Vines – Sat 22nd July

Join us for a quiz with a difference! Hosted by HDBS and set in the beautiful Beacon Down Vineyard in Cross-in-Hand. All are welcome. Email hdbs.events@gmail.com to book your table.

£9 per person, includes welcome drink. Teams of up to 6.

There will be a licensed bar selling not only the usual drinks but also the fantastic Beacon Down wines by the glass and the bottle.

HDBS Donates money to local causes

We would like to express our gratitude to the public who supported and gave so generously to our bucket collectors on our event night back in October. We raised a staggering £1485.66 and have rounded this up allowing us to donate £1500!

We have now successfully handed over £250.00 to 1st Horam Scout Group and £250.00 to 1st Heathfield Scouts. £1000 has also been given to our members’ chosen charity for 2022, Hospice in the Weald.

We are currently shortlisting for local charities and causes we can support this year so please email any suggestions to hdbs.pr@gmail.com.

HDBS – Winners of the Sussex Champions Cup 2022!

We are so proud of our society and how far it has come since forming in 2018.

Being awarded Winners of the Sussex Champions cup has been an amazing end to this year’s bonfire season. It is made even more special by the fact that this cup has been going since 1972 meaning Heathfield have now been engraved into this cup in it’s 50th year!

Thank you to all at the Sussex Association of Bonfire & Carnival Societies for this huge honour.

Heathfield’s Remembrance Sunday Service

Today we took part in the Remembrance Sunday Service at All Saints Church in Old Heathfield followed by a procession to the War Memorial where our member Jim Rutter laid a wreath on behalf of Heathfield & District Bonfire Society. Thank you to Reverend Mitch of Heathfield Benefice and The Royal British Legion for arranging today and allowing us to join you.
